A little more Singular than I had bargained on

It's been quiet around here. I have no doubt you may have wondered what happened? Well I have been on a totally different journey for the last year.

I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Often referred to as the good cancer to get however mine had spread to my back and hip. It makes things a bit more complicated when any cancer spreads, mine are inoperable so I've had surgery to remove my thyroid and then radiation and radioactive ablation to treat my 'mets' as they are called in the biz. I also pursued and received a diagnosis of Inattentive ADHD and ASD. That is a whole other story for another day but answers many questions I and those around me have had for years. It gives me a lot of peace to be able to understand myself better. Also to know how to help myself a bit more now too.

All I know is that acceptance is pretty much the key to everything. If you can acknowledge it you can do something about it and if you accept things you can't change you are ahead of the pack.

I'll be writing so much more on these topics and how they relate to being a Singular Mama/Parent in the near future.
